Writing for Children: The Ins and Outs, Ups and Downs, and All that Stuff In Between
This continuing class will equip participants in what they need to know to write for kids, specifically in the board book and picture book genres. Topics will include fine-tuning your manuscript to fit industry standards, writing prose that sings and poetry that doesn't stink, delivering your message without preaching, creating characters kids and adults love, writing hopeful endings, and, most importantly, trusting God with His plans for our writing.

We will discuss querying, work-for-hire vs. traditional publishing, resources for writers (such as SCBWI and the Writer’s Market Guide), the millions of dollars you probably won’t make, and what really happens after you get published.
